And one more bit, here's the solicit and cover the fellas mentioned for Doom Patrol (Volume 6) #6. 

DPv6 #6, nicked from MultiversityComics.com. I think the "skinniness" of Flex's leg is limited by the space available. In other words, it's looks OK to me. 

Our first arc concludes! The Doom Patrol is back together, and their mission to take out the Vectra brings them in contact with another old friend. Secrets will be uncovered, blows will be struck and, whether they win or lose, Casey Brinke’s existence will be altered forever. And yours just might be, too! 

According to DCComics.com, this issue is due out March 29, 2017. That bit prompted me to check the scheduled release dates for the issues between now and then, so here you go: 

#4 hits the racks 1/11

#1 Director's Cut is due 1/18 (which gives us 2 weeks of Doom Patrol-y goodness two weeks in a row! 2016 never did that, already making 2017 a better year, right?)

#5 is due February 8

Before rolling onto the issue at hand, I thought it might be nice to share a bit from Derington Way with y'all. The guys mention Fugg, who we meet in just a couple of days. Or sooner, if, well, y'know: time travel. 

If Doom Patrollers don't get a plush Fugg in the next twelve months, then we'll know Trump really won. And we all lost.  

What the lads didn't mention (but WilFreD retweeted) was this other sketch that Nick Derington popped up on his Twitter. 

Man. The more I see from Derington, the more I want to see him draw. As in EVERYTHING. I want Nick Derington to draw everything. Or at least all the art for a set of trading cards. Or a bunch of sets of trading cards. His style is so clean, but so energetic. The characters all seem alive, ready to push off from the paper and have a sit. 

At least I think so. 

But we'll talk more Derington later in the week. Let's focus on the G-Mo (nice abbreviation Paul and Mike!) issues at hand: Doom Patrol Volume 2 #54 and #55.

Too Good to Not Share

Hey all!

Inktober is a thing artist Jake Parker started where he encourages other artists (and aspiring sorts) to challenge themselves to do one drawing (or more) a day throughout the month of October. This year I participated and learned a lot about myself, my style, and some new tools. I also learned just how crazy-talented some of my friends are. For instance, my pal Jason drew up this beauty as his Inktober finale.

Doom Patrol vs. Agents of Atlas. Are you freakin' kidding me!? This is, hands down, the winner of Inktober in my opinion.



Naturally, I included Robotman in my set. Brush markers on tan paper. I quite like it, but Jason really killed Inktober all over the place.

I just saw Mike and Paul have Episode 76 up. Guess it's time for a listen. The post won't materialize here until late 11/4/16, as I've got a very STRANGE DOCTOR's appointment between now and then.
