HUZZAH!

This one's a bit delayed, but aren't we all? Here's the goods for Waiting for Doom Episode #102, which is described thusly upon a Podbean:

Now onto the stuff!

Here's the cover for Doom Patrol (v2) #74

Punchin' bootleggers.

And the innards.

Likewise for Doom Patrol (v2) #75

The credits for this issue, which welcomes Ted McKeever aboard.

And the issue's contents.

And what would a WFD-related post be without a little Nick Derington art?

Here's some bits I have lingering on my desktop that asked to be shared this week.

An image I found on Tumblr. Somewhat early Casey, but the essence is there.

An early take on Casey Brinke from Nick Derington.

Question of the Week
Really? This post is a bit too late for that, but in case you use this as an archive, following this episode Mike and Paul wanted to know: Who are your favorite fictional siblings?

Episode 99: Fairy Tales and Weird Dreams OR Doug's FINALLY Caught Up After Vacation!

HUZZAH!

A new one - or the first of a new two episodes of Waiting for Doom. As Paul and Mike describe it on their Podbean:

Despite recent tech issues (what, again?!) Mike and Paul return with more DOOM PATROL goodness! Please note that we're not entirely tech-issue-free, as the Technology Gods decided to export this episode rather quietly, so when we say 'Yo, turn it up!', we mean it...anyway, LET'S GET PATROLLING!

• Doom Clock - 17:17
• Doomsplaining - 20:43 -We continue our coverage of the Violet Valley era Patrol, as we look at issues 72 and 73 of Doom Patrol volume 2, from Rachel Pollack and Linda Medley!

I'm going to go lightly on the text and captions, but here's the cover from Doom Patrol (volume 2) #72.

Doom Patrol (v2) #72

. . .and #73

Not a Tom Taggart cover, but a Bob Fingerman piece.

. . .not creepy at all.

Here's the solicit for Doom Patrol (v6) #10 that the gents mention. As well as a larger version of the cover.

I'll be caught up with Waiting for Doom in a few more hours. Be sure to click back tomorrow!

Episode 97: This Is My Beard Hunter, If You’ll Pardon The Expression OR Beware the Codpiece!

Huzzah!

They've done it again! A new blog post from Mike and Paul! Here's the Podbean description:

Mike and Paul return with an all new episode of WFD, featuring the escalation and secret history of a generational war, a new team member, and one of the strangest (and saddest?) villains: Codpiece! LET'S GET PATROLLING!

As first appearances go, this one is not yet burning up the aftermarket.

Here's the imagery from Doom Patrol (v2) #70

Doom Patrol could be a legacy book.

Just what IS the Doom Patrol?

And the stuff from DP #71

Another Tom Taggart masterpiece.

Anyone else find it interesting to have a story titled "The Fox and the Crow" in a Doom Patrol series?
Anyone know why I find that interesting?

The Chief being his Chiefiest.

Oh, she's a feisty one, this Coagula.

Cliff's just having one of those days.

In order to get caught up, here's some Tweets that sum up the time between last post and this post from

From Derington. . .

. . .by Way. . .

. . .of Bonvillain.

I'm not sure if the visual style from the Star Wars Adventures carries in to the inside (interesting that Disney recognizes IDW's strength in the all ages market), but I like what I see.

Question of the Week
What Doom Patrol character (from any run) would you like to see in a spotlight issue?
